Youth
Golf of America offers regional, national and international events for juniors. All juniors are
welcome to compete regardless of skill level or ability. The YGOA program offers juniors to move along at their own
pace to improve and have flexibility to skip events and not be penalized.
YGOA juniors compete in the following age divisions: 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u & 18u in
both boys and girls divisions. The determining factor of establishing an age division for a junior is his/her official
age by August 31stof each year.
Boys and girls who are at least 6 years of age at the time of their first tournament played and eighteen
(18) years of age or younger on or before August 31 of that tournament year regardless of whether such individual has his/her
19th birthday during said tournament year are eligible for YGOA sanctioned events. Players must be enrolled and
in good standing in a public or private school or registered in a home education program in the twelfth grade or lower and
may not be partisipating with a college team.
Every effort will be made to make pairings based on comparative scores, except for
the player’s first tournament of the year, which is paired by a random draw.
Entry fees for members on Regional, National
and International Events are determined by the event location, however second family players will receive a 10% discount on
the second entry fee at one of these events.
NO REFUNDS in the event of withdrawal, rainout, etc.
USGA rules will govern all play
except where it is necessary to apply local rules. Decisions of the members of the rules committee will be final in all matters
concerning the interpretation and enforcement of the Rules of Golf and the tournament rules of the YGOA
- Champions Junior Golf Tour.
All participants are required to wear appropriate golf attire
at all times while participating in YGOA sanctioned events. Education days and seminar dress codes may vary. They
will be posted prior to each event.
